CORRADO PERABONI APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT |
Milan, 18 November 2008 - Corrado Peraboni, general manager
of Fondazione Fiera Milano and managing director of Expo CTS, has been appointed
vice president of UFI European chapter. UFI is the Global Association of the
Exhibition Industry which groups over 534 members coming from more than 84
countries. They include organizers, owners of exhibition centres and
Associations.
The appointment took place at the 75th UFI congress held in
Istanbul. During the 71st UFI congress held in Bangkok at the end of November
2004, Mr Peraboni was appointed chairman of the UFI European chapter. In Turkey,
he presented a report of his 4-year mandate, which is the time limit fixed for
the post.
On the same occasion, Corrado Peraboni receded from the post of
world vice president after holding office for two years, in favour of Camillo
Cametti, director of VeronaFiere.
Another important token of recognition in
the educational and Sustainable sector that Fondazione Fiera Milano is a member
of, goes to Enrica Baccini, now appointed vice chairwoman of Hungexpo
(Budapest), the organization chaired by Janos Barabas. This goes to show that
the international exhibition industry recognizes a key role to Fondazione Fiera
Milano and its group in the field of education and Corporate Social
Responsibility.
Headquartered in Paris, UFI is considered an international
quality brand in the exhibition sector. Founded on 15 April 1925 in Milan with a
view to promote cooperation among different exhibition organizations and boost
the sector after the end of WW1 through representatives of 20 international
trade fairs, it is divided into 4 Regional Chapters (Europe, Africa, America,
Asia/Australia). Its members represent over 4,000 trade fairs and exhibitions,
over one million leading exhibitors, 50 million sqm of leased exhibition surface
area and more than 150 million visitors a year.
