Milan, 21 July 2011 - Corrado Peraboni, Fondazione Fiera Milano’s General Manager since November, was appointed 1st Deputy Chairman of the European Chapter by his colleagues at UFI (the 1st deputy chairman is the person with the highest number of votes). UFI has 3 deputy chairmen.
Corrado Peraboni is also one of the members of the Executive Committee and has been on the UFI Board of Directors since 2001
UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, was established in Milan in 1925 to promote cooperation among the various fair entities and to breathe new life into the sector at the end of the First World War. Currently, UFI is recognized as a true international mark of quality in the exhibition industry. UFI’s members include 287 organizers, 189 exhibition centers and 49 associations, for a total of 558 members from 83 countries, that combined represent more than 4,500 exhibitions.
To better carry out its mission, UFI has established the Regional Chapters for Europe, Africa, Asia & Australia, each entrusted with promoting new projects for their area and bringing more innovative proposals for worldwide cooperation to the steering committee. The mission is to promote the exchange of information and knowledge on specific topics: Associations, Training, ICT, Marketing, Operations and Sustainable Development.
