Article No. 1 states that it is a private foundation that owns all the fixed assets and is designed to operate in the interests of the community. 7 February 2000 Fondazione FieraMilano is officially established. 16 January 2001 Luigi Roth is appointed CEO of Fondazione FieraMilano. 4 May 2001 The executive committee prepares the guidelines for the activities of Fondazione FieraMilano. 29 June 2001 Establishment of Sviluppo Sistema Fiera spa, an engineering and contracting company for large-scale infrastructure construction projects and territorial redevelopment, the veritable operating arm of Fondazione. It is established to oversee the construction of the new FieraMilano premises and to redevelop part of the original exhibition complex. 17 December 2001 Conferral of the “services” branch of business to FieraMilano spa. 7 March 2002 Fondazione FieraMilano acquires a majority shareholding in Villa Erba spa. 4 July 2002 Work begins on defining the new corporate structure of the Fondazione FieraMilano group. 18 September 2002 The International Academy of Trade Fair Management is established. 12 December 2002 FieraMilano shares are listed in the Star segment on the Italian Stock Exchange. 30 September 2003 Fondazione FieraMilano adopts a Code of Ethics which it formalizes in its first social report (January 2001 -June 2003). 8 October 2004 Fondazione FieraMilano defines itself a foundation for “development” and amends the Articles of Incorporation. 24 November 2004 Corrado Peraboni, managing director of Fondazione FieraMilano, is appointed president of the UFI European Chapter, and is reconfirmed in 2006 until 2008. 29 July 2005 Fondazione Fiera Milano joins the Irccs Policlinico, Mangiagalli and Regina Elena Foundation, a center of excellence in the Lombardy healthcare sector, with a view to offering its experience, know-how and capital. 11 July 2006 Luigi Roth is reconfirmed CEO of Fondazione FieraMilano. September 2006 Fondazione Fiera Milano joins the organizing committee of Expo 2015 and works with the Milan City Council in identifying the best sites owned by Fondazione. 21 October 2006 Fondazione Comunitaria NordMilano is established, and Fondazione Fiera Milano is one of its founders. 28 November 2007 The Milan Exhibition System is presented to Parliament and to the European Commission in Brussels. 13 November 2008 Corrado Peraboni, managing director of Fondazione Fiera Milano, is appointed vice president of the UFI European Chapter.
