With a gross floor area of 530,000 square meters, a land area of 2,000,000 square meters, and a 5-kilometer perimeter, fieramilano is the largest civil engineering project built in Europe in recent years. Each pavilion (6 single-level and 2 two-level) is divided into two exhibit areas, for a total of 20 halls, which can all be used independently because each has its own service facilities. All the halls also have direct vehicle access. The central axis, a 1,400 meter corridor designed by Massimiliano Fuksas, and topped by a glass and steel structure, occupies approx. 47,000 square meters and hosts four glass and steel structures designed to house the offices of the show secretariats, for a total of 4,000 square meters. At the heart of the district is the Stella Polare congress center, consisting of ten rooms for a total capacity of 2,600 seats. Another eight meeting rooms are located along the central axis. Next to the congress center is the service center where all exhibitor and visitor services are available. Restaurants, banquet rooms and cafes complete the spectrum of hospitality offerings at fieramilano.
