Andrea Lissoni has been the curator of Film and International Art at Tate Modern in London since 2014. He holds a PhD, has been the curator of Hangar Bicocca in Milan since 2011, taught at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts from 2001 to 2013 and has been a lecturer at Bocconi University since 2007. The co-founder of the Xing cultural organization, he co-directs the international Live Arts Week-Gianni Peng festival in Bologna, is the curator and co-creator of the Cujo magazine and works regularly with Mousse.

He has been the curator of collective exhibitions among which Circular (San Siro stadium, Milan, 2004), Collateral. Quando l’arte incontra il cinema (Hangar Bicocca, Milano and SESC Pompeia, Sao Paulo, 2007), Check-in Architecture (Venice Architecture Biennale, 2008), Tudo (Pitti Immagine, Florence, 2011). The curator of personal exhibitions staged at HangarBicocca, by Céleste Boursier Mougenot, Angela Ricci Lucchi&Yervant Gianikian, Wilfredo Prieto, Carsten Nicolai, Tomàs Saraceno, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Mike Kelley, Ragnar Kjartansson, Micol Assael, Joan Jonas and Celine Condorelli from 2011 to 2014.
