Denis Santachiara, a designer and pioneer in digital manufacturing, began his career in 1980. He creates works that border between art and design and that have been exhibited at Venice Biennale, Documenta 8 in Kassel, Triennale in Milan and Quadriennale in Rome. In 1984 he created and curated the La Neomerce exhibition-cum-manifesto, the design of invention and artificial ecstasy at Triennale in Milan and Centre Pompidou in Paris, and in 1986, the I Segni dell’Habitat exhibition presented at the Grand Palais in Paris and the Berlage Museum in Amsterdam. From 1988 to 1992 he designed the interiors of the Chartreuse of Avignon and the Blois Museum of Magic for the French Ministry of Culture. The winner of numerous international awards, he currently works with Italian and foreign companies on new product design and research. His works are on display at MOMA in New York, the Musée des Arts Decoratifs of the Louvre in Paris, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, the Philadelphia Museum and the Vitra Museum of Berlin.
