The real estate assets of Fondazione Fiera Milano accommodate an exhibition and conference infrastructure: fieramilano, the Portello pavillions and Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Centre.
The current buildings are the result of a complex transformation project that began when Fondazione was established, to give Milan and Lombardy a more modern exhibition-conference system that would be on a par with the large-scale exhibition centers worldwide.
fieramilano hosts most of the exhibitions, especially the larger events. When part of its historical complex was transferred to CityLife, the Portello pavillions started hosting events for the city, as well congress-related exhibitions. As a result, Fondazione Fiera Milano drove the development of Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Centre, reconverting pavilions 5 and 6 at Portello, which had been designed at the end of the 90’s by Mario Bellini, and connecting these to the existing conference facilities.
