Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Centre is among the largest conference venues in Europe and worldwide. It can accommodate up to 18,000 people in about 65 conference rooms that are highly flexible and fitted with avant-garde equipment. There are two plenary halls with seating for 4,000 and 2,000 people and an auditorium that seats 1,500, which is ideal for large-scale events and international conferences that take up a large number of rooms. Added to the conference rooms is 54,000 sq.m of exhibition space which can serve as other plenary halls with seating for more than 5,000 people.

The outdoor space for the Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Centre project is by architect Mario Bellini, while the indoor layout was designed by architect Pierluigi Nicolin. It comes from the repurposing of Pavilions 5 and 6 at Portello complex, which were designed at the end of the 90’s by the same Mario Bellini and connecting these with the existing conference facility.

The utmost attention was given to seamlessly blending the new complex into the surrounding urban landscape, as well as adding sustainable energy and architectural excellence, great originality and high impact: an attention-grabbing cover measuring 15,000 square meters - called Cometa – covers and surrounds the various buildings underneath.
