Giovanni Gorno Tempini appointed as Chairman of Fondazione Ente Autonomo Fiera Internazionale di Milano
Milan, 13 July 2016 – At a meeting held on July 12 this year, the Lombardy Regional Government confirmed the appointment of Giovanni Gorno Tempini as Chairman of Fondazione Ente Autonomo Fiera Internazionale di Milano, following a proposal of the Executive Council chaired by Governor Roberto Maroni.
A well-known manager, Giovanni Gorno Tempini was the former Managing Director of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP - Deposits and Loans Bank) and the President of the Italian Strategic Fund, controlled by CDP. He has a high-caliber management career in banking and finance industry, which began with a tenure at JP Morgan in Milan and London. He was also the managing director and CEO of Banca Caboto (now Banca IMI), head of finance and treasury at Banca Intesa SpA (now Intesa San Paolo SpA), CEO and managing director of the Mittel SpA group, vice president of Sorin SpA, president of Hopa SpA and a member of the board of directors of A2A SpA.
The Lombardy Regional Government will shortly announce the new term in office of Chairman Gorno Tempini and of the members of the new Board of Directors of Fondazione Fiera Milano in compliance with the articles of by-law.
The term in office of the current Fondazione Board of Directors expired on last June 28 with the approval of the 2015 financial statements.
