The Annual Report changes from being an economic publication focusing on trends in the four main driving sectors for Made in Italy - furniture, fashion, industrial machinery and food products – to an interactive website dedicated to the main results of the surveys conducted by Fondazione Fiera Milano.
The survey method has been revised, from phone calls to online interviews, and also the result presentation method has been changed, from hard copy to the website www.fieriespositori.it. The contents and general objectives of the project, however, have remained the same, namely assessing and enhancing the fundamental role of SMEs for our Made in Italy.
The information included in fieriespositori.it is based on interpreting real-life data provided by players in the trade fair industry. Original ideas are thus provided, as well as topical and strategic information about export and innovation by Italian companies leveraging trade fairs for their growth. The condition of these important enterprises is assessed using an indicator of confidence and commitment to innovation. The information collected through the Fondazione Fiera Milano Database from 2000 to the present includes 120,000 surveys in total which amount to approximately 3,000 interviews per year.
