Fondazione Fiera Milano approves three years plan 2025-2027

With investments of €213.8 million over the next three years, Fondazione Fiera Milano confirms itself as a player capable of seizing and fostering opportunities for the development of the city and the country, as demonstrated by its commitment to the new RAI production center and the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.

For the period 2025-2027 FFM estimates 105 million Eur Gross Operating Margin, 23.6 million EUR net income as well as projected net worth of 789.9 million Eur by the end of 2027.

The General Council of Fondazione Fiera Milano, meeting under the leadership of Deputy Vice President Davide Corritore, unanimously approved the new Three-Year Plan 2025-2027.

The plan for the next three years envisages strategic investments totalling 213.8 million Eur, which will enable Fondazione to continue its commitment as a shareholder in Fiera Milano, thus fostering the competitiveness of the exhibition and congress venues, while also aiming at business diversification, as an active player in territorial development and urban regeneration, and being a promoter of actions and projects for social inclusion and the enhancement of cultural heritage and skills.

The largest part of the investments, 158.8 million Eur, concerns regeneration works on the urban area, including: RAI's new headquarters, a project involving the construction of a white box in the area now occupied by MiCo Nord (where RAI will build, through fit-out works under its own responsibility, its new production centre for which Fondazione has provided a total of 102 million Eur); the extension of Allianz-MiCo, a project that has seen the completion of the adaptation of pavilions 1-2 at Portello to a convention center and which will include the redevelopment of the Timpano by next year to house the offices of Fiera Milano Congressi and a hotel facility on Via Scarampo. As part of the redevelopment of its real estate assets, Fondazione also plans to invest in the construction of a new accommodation facility that will be developed in the former office buildings in the fieramilano (Rho) district and will have 200 economy and midscale rooms. The construction cost of the project will be 16.5 million Eur.

The remaining investments include interventions for digital, green and extraordinary maintenance and improvement of exhibition and congress facilities - about 26 million Eur in the three-year period - and the adaptation of halls 13-15 and 22-24 at fieramilano Rho, as well as some spaces at Allianz MiCo, to host the speed skating and field hockey competitions of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and the event's media center. These latter interventions, which will be permanent in nature, are part of an operation that, with a total investment of 28 million Eur, aims to create new business opportunities for the Fiera Milano Group, thanks to the flexible use of exhibition spaces.

"The Three-Year Plan confirms the continuity of the investments launched in recent years by Fondazione Fiera, which renews its commitment to the development of the city of Milan and the entire territory," explains Davide Corritore, Deputy Vice President, Fondazione Fiera Milano. The interventions continue on schedule and represent the extraordinary effort made possible thanks to the synergy between different players and the contribution of the entire team of Fondazione Fiera Milano."

Finally, also included in the three-year plan are investments for activities and projects with which Fondazione intends to continue to contribute to the welfare of the community and provide the area with opportunities to deal with social difficulties, with a special focus on the most vulnerable (4.5 million Eur in the three-year period) and initiatives aimed at developing skills and capitalizing on fair and conference know-how with Centro Studi and Accademia and enhancing cultural heritage with the Historical Archives.

For the three-year period 2025-2027, Fondazione Fiera Milano estimates over 105 mln Eur EBITDA and 23.6 mln Eur net income, while the Balance Sheet forecasts shareholders' equity of 789.9 mln Eur by the end of 2027, up from the current level.

The major investment plan for the next three years confirms the path started in recent years: the total value of the Plan for 2023-2029, the year of substantial completion of the overall plan that Fondazione intends to develop, amounts to 391.9 million Eur.
